However, both show off key brand styling and mechanical traits, and they should interest fans. A freshly dialed SeaQ Chronograph and a new PanoLunarInverse are available now.The SeaQ Chronograph Silver ScreenBefore discovering the PanoLunarInverse, let’s look at the SeaQ Chronograph Silver Screen. This stainless steel watch is 43.2mm wide by 51.4mm from lug to lug. It has a unidirectional external dive bezel with a black ceramic insert, a screw-down crown, and a 300m water resistance rating.A new silver dialThe SeaQ Chronograph debuted in 2022. Until now, though, it was only available in a stainless steel case with a dark blue dial. Now, a silver backdrop with black-framed sub-dials and a matching Panorama date wheel is here, and it’s called the Silver Screen. Think of it as a light but shiny version of a panda-dial chronograph. A mix of white-lume-filled Arabic numerals and bars matches the large luminous hands. It’s a clean look that works as well on rubber or nylon straps as on the polished and matte bracelet.An updated skin-diver-style caseThe SeaQ Chronograph has octagonal pump pushers and crown guards. A thick domed sapphire crystal brings the total thickness to 16.95mm. For a company that makes highly complicated and elegant dress watches, the SeaQ is no shrinking violet.The in-house caliber 37-23Glashutte Original equips the SeaQ Chronograph Silver Screen with its 37-23 automatic movement. It’s a modern powerplant with a silicon balance spring and a frequency of 28,800vph. This caliber’s 70-hour power reserve should keep the watch powered when owners switch to dressier pieces for a few days. Functionally, the movement powers a traditional chronograph with a 30-minute register and flyback functionality.ConclusionsThe newest SeaQ Chronograph Silver Screen is available for $15,400 with a pin buckle or $15,700 with a folding clasp, which is the same price as the blue variant. This is a good-looking and perhaps an obvious next step for this model. As far as the size, it’s certainly more suited for an owner with a large wrist. This is a 42mm platinum watch with a 48.9mm lug-to-lug and 12.46mm thickness, a sapphire crystal, and a 50m water resistance rating. A gray Louisiana alligator strap with a folding clasp is included.The inverse 91-04 movementThe PanoLunarInverse uses the in-house 91-04 automatic caliber with a moonphase display and a panorama date. However, in this application, the movement is inverted. Therefore, the traditional back of the movement is on the front of the case and vice versa. However, all the time and complication displays are on the front too. From a specifications perspective, the movement has a frequency of 28,800vph and 45 hours of power reserve. Furthermore, Glashutte watchmakers adjust the movement to five positions.Noteworthy guilloche on the PanoLunarInverseThe PanoLunarInverse has a sparkling dark gray guilloche “dial.” It’s deceiving, though, because, in truth, this is the movement itself, and the guilloche pattern is repeated on the back. On the front side of the case, a pair of intersecting black rings show the time and running seconds. Also, the moonphase function sits within the time dial and has an aventurine background. Next, luminous material is used on the main hands and hour indices.Frankly, this is one of the most attractive dials/movements I’ve recently seen. Moreover, the craftsmanship is lovely. Visual jewels, blued screws, the black rhodium-plated balance, and the panoramic date window all work in concert. Finally, the rotor with its domed moon caps off the package.The PanoLunarInverse - Pricing and availabilityAs expected, the PanoLunarInverse is the more expensive new release. Consequently, it is priced at $45,700. The watch is limited to 200 numbered pieces and is available now.?Overall, both new releases are attractive, but the PanoLunarInverse has my vote.
