Just as the moon accompanies us day by day and yet always fascinates us anew, the new Belisar Chronograph Moon Phase from Union Glashutte proves to be a reliable and attractive companion for every day of the year. This elegant timepiece from Saxony features all calendar display elements and a mechanical chronograph movement with a power reserve of up to 60 hours.The phases of the moon are shown through a classic, handsome indicator positioned at 6 o’clock, where the celestial spectacle is acted out as though on a miniature dark-blue stage with yellow stars. The white dial with black, nickel-plated indices and numerals and blued hands form a subtle backdrop, which remains clear and tidy despite the numerous displays.The date is displayed via a central revolving hand with a crescent-shaped tip. Indicator windows for the current day and month are located inside the 30 minute display at 12 o’clock. The day of the week can be easily adjusted when month lengths vary, with a push-button at 10 o’clock. An hour counter at 6 o’clock completes the chronograph functions. The arrow-shaped hand of the 24 hour display at 9 o’clock provides excellent readability, day or night.This is all housed in a well-proportioned stainless steel case with a diameter of 44 millimetres, equipped with the signature screwed-on flanks of the Belisar collection. The screw-down case back with sapphire crystal provides an unrestricted view of the UNG-25.01 movement with up to 60 hours of running power, produced and finished in Glashutte.
